DescriptionBurrell's INDUSTRO-B Portable Gas Analyzer has been designed for the determination of carbon dioxide, oxygen and carbon monoxide in gas mixtures.INDUSTRO-B has a minimum number of glass parts combined with metal components for rugged field applications. The fragile stopcock manifold has been replaced with a metal header containing a tough, resilient diaphragm and packless valves. It comes in a one-piece, aluminum frame with a slip-on case. INDUSTRO-B is supplied with two Burrell Auto-Bubbler pipettes and one contact pipette; bulb type burette, 50 ml. graduated 0 to 21% in 0.2%; one set of solutions; carrying case; and instructions. OperationINDUSTRO-B is a simplified instrument for the rapid and accurate field analysis of gas mixtures. The operating principle consists of subjecting a measured volume of the gas sample to successive contact with chemical solutions which serve to absorb specific components—carbon dioxide, oxygen and carbon monoxide—from the mixture. The decrease in volume of the sample, after each contact, is the basis for calculating the percentage of the particular component in the mixture.For complete operating instructions, see the Burrell manual entitled "lNDUSTRO GAS ANALYZER Operating Instructions" included with each instrument. ApplicationsINDUSTRO-B is most commonly used in the analysis of chimney gases for the regulation of combustion in coal-, oil-, and gas-fired furnaces. It can also be used for combustion control, furnace atmosphere analysis, air-leak detection, research and plant control, calibration of control instruments, etc.
